11/30/2021 - NYSPHA signed on to a letter by the CDC Coalition to the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate Appropriations Committee in support of the CDC in the next federal budget.  The letter urged that they include at least the House-passed level of $10.5 billion for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s programs in any final FY 2022 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies appropriations bill.  Click <here> to read the letter.  

9/16/2021 – NYSPHA signed on a Safe States Alliance Vision for a Nation Free of Injury and Violence. This can be achieved by ensuring the nation has a robust, effective public health and prevention infrastructure built upon a series of essential components for injury and violence prevention. 8/09/2021 – NYSPHA signed on to an American Lung Association letter urging Congress to address climate change is a health emergency by transitioning the nation to clean, renewable electricity and clean transportation.  Click <here> to read the letter (PDF attached)
