Please save the date and join us for a leading edge, two-day public health conference on Thursday, April 27th and Friday, April 28th, 2017!

Our 67th Annual Meeting & Conference will offer scientific sessions in a variety of formats including large plenary sessions and smaller concurrent sessions. Sessions will focus on issues and topics relevant to this year’s theme of “Improving Public Health:  Advocating and Activating for Change.”

This conference is designed for public health educators, academic staff, county health officials and employees, students, medical and dental practitioners, state health employees and others in the field of public health, education and medical care.  We welcome all individuals and organizations who share a common interest of promoting and protecting the public’s health.


       

         Registration

Online registration is now closed. Registration will be available on-site.

       

        Continuing Education

The 2017 Annual Meeting will offer continuing education hours for CHES entry-level credits, MCHES advanced level credits and CPH credits. Full credits are based on attendance at both the pre-conference workshop and annual meeting. Partial credits are available for individual events. Please indicate on your registration form if you will be seeking CHES (and add your CHES number for easy tracking) or CPH credits. These credits are being offered free of charge with your paid registration. 

 

        Transfer/Cancellation Policy

  • If you register for the  Annual Meeting and cannot attend, you may transfer your registration to another person. All transfer/cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and received by NYSPHA no later than April 14, 2017. Please submit your request via email to info@nyspha.org
  • Cancellations received on or before April 14, 2017 will be refunded less a $10 administrative fee.  Cancellations received April 15, 2017 or later are not refundable.  Space at each event is limited. No-shows will be charged the full registration fee.

            Registration/Payment

    Online registration is now open.  Conference registrations may be completed online and paid online via credit card or PayPal. You may also complete your payment offline via check or purchase order by registering online, printing your confirmation form and mailing it with payment to:

    If your company requires payment be made after an event or if you plan to pay on-site, please send an email to info@nyspha.org to let us know. We will 
    mark your account accordingly so your registration is confirmed.


     Conference Rates

        Early rate (register by 1/31/17) - NYSPHA Members:   $125

       Early rate (register by 1/31/17) - Non-Members:   $160

        NYSPHA Members (after 1/31/17): $145

        Non-members (after 1/31/17): $180

        NYSPHA Student Members: $75

        Student Non-members: $90

        Rates above are for the conference. The registration form also includes the option of adding the pre-conference      workshop on April 27th (9:00 AM - 1:00 PM). Pre-conference rates are: 


         Pre-conference workshop member rate:  $65

         Pre-conference workshop non-member rate:  $80

      


        Hotel Information

    All events will take place at the High Peaks Resort in Lake Placid, NY. A block of rooms has been reserved for Wednesday, April 26, 2017 and Thursday, April 27, 2017 at both the High Peaks Resort and the Mirror Lake Inn Resort and Spa. We have negotiated a significantly lower fee for your stay at both of these resorts.

    High Peaks Resort is offering the per diem rate of $112/night. High Peaks Resort offers spacious comfort in Adirondack-inspired rooms. Located right on the main strip, the resort features rooms each with a private patio or balcony, spectacular views of the surrounding Adirondack Mountains and in-room amenities. 

    Mirror Lake Inn Resort and Spa is less than a 5 minute walk from the event at High Peaks Resort and is offering an incredibly discounted rate of $139/night. Mirror Lake Inn is a AAA 4 Diamond resort known for its luxury and as a wedding destination. The family-owned resort features award-winning dining options, a renowned spa and comfortable rooms with views of the lake and mountains.

    Important Information

    Travel Information- The High Peaks Resort is located in Lake Placid at 2384 Saranac Avenue, Lake Placid, NY  12946. Click here for a variety of travel routes and options including by plane, car, train or bus to Lake Placid, NY.

     

    Hotel Parking- Parking is free at the High Peaks Resort.

     

    Food & Beverage- Lunch on Day 2* and coffee breaks are included with your Annual Meeting registration fee. The High Peaks Resort chef has designed a menu to meet the “Healthy Meeting Guidelines” recommended by the New York State Department of Health. Gluten-free options will also be available. 

    *Please Note: Lunch on Day 1 is only provided for those registered for the Pre-Conference Workshop.  Pre-Conference Workshop details can be found here.

     

    Conference Attire- Business-casual attire is suited for this event. Please keep in mind that meeting room temperatures vary. You may want to bring a jacket or sweater to all sessions.

     

    Payment Information- Registration fees may be paid via credit card (via PayPal) online only or offline via check or purchase order. Registration on-site is available but we highly recommend you complete the registration form online to secure your spot. Online registration will close on April 25th.
